The problem with a mystery number

A traditional bid is one number on one page. You can’t see what’s inside it, so you can’t tell padding from honesty. When something changes mid-build — and something always changes — you have no way to know if the change order is fair. The whole relationship runs on trust you were never given a reason to have.

What open-book means on a Signature build
